Applications are invited for admission to M.B.A. and M.C.A. courses offered in the University Departments for the academic year 2005-2006
Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.)
Eligibility: A pass in any degree
Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.)
Eligibility: A graduate in any discipline of Madurai Kamaraj University with Mathematics as compulsory subject at 10+2 level or should have passed the degree examination equivalent to that of Madurai Kamaraj University with Mathematics as compulsory subject at 10+2 level (OR) any degree with Computer Science/Computer Application as major/vocational subjects.
The syllabus content of the subject (i) Business Mathematics & Operations Research (ii) Business Mathematics & Statistics / Numerical Methods and Mathematics at +2 level are different. Hence the students who have studied (i) & (ii) are NOT ELIGIBLE.
Candidates who are appearing for the final year UG degree exam during April/May 2005 can also apply. Candidates who have studied under 10+2+3/4 pattern are only eligible for admission.
Entrance Test: Applicants seeking admission to M.B.A. & M.C.A. courses are required to appear for the Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) – 2005 to be conducted by the Anna University, Chennai on 21st May 2005. (Refer Anna University notification in the Hindu & Dinamalar dated 20.02.2005 / www.annauniv.edu.) No other entrance test will be accepted for the above admissions.
Selection: Selection will be made based on the performance of candidates in the TANCET-2005 score and Group Discussion & Interview by Madurai Kamaraj University.
How to apply: Application and Prospectus can be downloaded from the University website www.mkuniversity.org from 30.03.2005. Xerox copies of downloaded applications may also be used.
Filled in application along with a demand draft of Rs. 450/- drawn in favour of The Registrar, Madurai Kamaraj University payable at Madurai should reach the undersigned on or before 20.05.2005. A copy of the TANCET-2005 mark statement should be submitted within 15 days from the date of publication of TANCET results. The applications received after the due date will be summarily rejected. Application is free of cost for SC/ST candidates.
Note: Candidates experiencing problems in downloading the application form, can request for a copy of the prospectus and application form from the respective Heads of the Departments by producing a demand draft in favour of The Registrar, Madurai Kamaraj University/SBI A/c.No. I Chalan for Rs. 35/- (in person) or Rs.50/- (by post) along with the requisition letter.
